Our Story

Born in Adversity ~ 2004

Despite the sword over our head, the cloud created by many attacks, and a barrage of accusations that followed us after coming out of another organization that chose to compromise and depart from the message of true holiness, this newly formed church still in its infancy was born in adversity.  The organization came into being as a Bonafide church.

Throughout the years many government agencies have called, done audits and inspections to verify our authenticity and always found that it was legitimate and verified as a true 501 (c) (3) organization.

The Sacrifice & The Growth

The group grew quickly; GOD had opened so many doors for us and many miracles took place in a very short time. Church building were purchased and the congregations of the local churches began to multiply.  The church was modeled after the books of Acts, and it was beginning to take shape.

TO PRESERVE THE HERITAGE :

The new church had the resemblance of the early Christians we read about in the Bible:

Acts 2:44-47  44 And all that believed were together and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved

Luke 5:15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

Everyone in life looks for two vital elements:

LOVE and ACCEPTANCE.

There is security in being in a community where you are all family and you know that you are surrounded by people you trust and love, you know they are not going to take advantage of you.

Here in House of Prayer the people found purpose and gained hands on life experience.  Many of them went on mission trips They traveled in groups of 10 -25, and they made contacts with different people all over the world.  These people in turn have reached other people.

ALL FOR FREE

The trips were all paid for by the church.

Also, in House of Prayer there is a diversity of tradesmen and public servants.  We have electricians, carpenters, general contractors, HVAC technicians, licensed teachers, firemen, police officers, soldiers of all MOS’s and ranks, nurses, affiliates who are engineers, doctors, lawyers, judges, public officials and others who have met with us and have come to know us at of House of Prayer.

The Missionaries were Modeled like the Navy Seals or The Special Forces Green Berets

This is why you will see on top of our CREED "Libre de opresso" (correctly "De Oppresso Liber") it is considered a military motto, specifically the official motto of the United States Army Special Forces Green Berets.

This is where we became like the book of Acts Church. In the scriptures you read about their many missionary journeys contained in  28 chapters.

Those we ministered to have greatly benefited from the ministry and those who were sincere grew spiritually.  The children had an “experience of a lifetime”. You can tell by the pictures they took and the stories they tell.

Acts 14:21-22  And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much

tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

In the straight and narrow way, we DO NOT discriminate against others although we are discriminated against.  We do good to those who despitefully use us and persecute us, this is what we have always been taught, never to retaliate.

To all Christians Everywhere:

Always Remember

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

It Won't Always Be This Way
